Dear Course Provider:
Thank you for your interest in the newly enhanced Seminar Finder Web site. As you already know, the Web can assist potential seminar, Web-based training (WBT) & continuing education participants in finding and registering for your courses. What the Web has been lacking, though, was a consolidated source to help people easily find the courses they seek.
In response, the technicians and designers at NovaStone New Media have created Seminar Finder - a proprietary interactive database program that allows anyone with Web access to browse and search information about your courses by topic, location, date, company, and/or seminar leader.
Each course listing features expanded course descriptions, public dates, seminar leader biographies, and detailed registration information - including secure on-line registration - to a global audience. There is also two pages of descriptive text about your organization linked to all your course pages.
We are positioning Seminar Finder as the source for information on all seminars, WBT and continuing education courses. Unlike thousands of separate Web sites, Seminar Finder is a pooling of resources within the industry. Instead of trying to find your existing Web site in a sea of thousands, a visitor can simply go to Seminar Finder and locate his/her information quickly. Once a course has been found, visitors can easily register directly with your firm or University any number of ways, including securely on-line!
As you know, millions of dollars are spent on advertising, brochures and catalogs to market training courses each year, but these methods are inefficient. You need to have your expensive paper catalog land on the right desk at the right time. But with Seminar Finder your courses can always be found when your customers need them. Seminar Finder is the most cost effective way to fill your courses with participants.
Business analysts predict that Seminar Finder may actually increase aggregate participation in training courses globally because it helps people around the world find the training they need much more efficiently than traditional media, such as catalogs.
We are aggressively advertising and promoting Seminar Finder in magazines, newspapers, newsletters, and on-line, which is helping make Seminar Finder one of the most widely utilized resources on the Internet. We have also begun a popular affiliate program whereby other high traffic Web sites can use the Seminar Finder database to let their audiences search for courses - which increases the number of people finding your courses!
If you have not already done so, go to the following Seminar Finder Web address to place 5 complimentary listings and to receive your ID and password: http://www.seminarfinder.com/free.php3
Course providers can choose between two course listing programs: Paid Listings (click here for more information on the Paid Listings program) and Partner Listings. With Paid Listings, course providers refer to the current Seminar Finder rate card and pay a fee to list each course. Full registration price then goes directly to the course provider with no commission due. Partner Listings is a Òpay for performanceÓ program whereby Seminar Finder lists full course provider catalogs with no up-front payment and simply secures a commission on each registration generated.
To be eligible for the Partner Listing Program, your firm or University must give over 200 course dates per year and a program evaluation.
Course providers enlisted in the Partner Listings Program are responsible for the following:
1) Reliable tracking for course registrations by phone, e-mail, fax, and postal mail. Course provider supplies a special registration tracking number for each course and phone operators would ask registrants where they found the course (if "Internet" then "where on Internet"). Fax, e-mail and postal mail registrations are already easy to track.
2) Supplying descriptive course information in a format that we can efficiently add to the Seminar Finder Web site. This probably means sending us text files which include all the dates / locations in tab or comma separated format and course descriptions in simple text format (or some other "text" format).
3) Commission payments on the gross of each seminar registration generated through Seminar Finder (commission varies for each partner depending on cost of course and number of courses given).
4) Supplying a monthly report on the number of valid registrations (participants actually paid and
attended) the price gross for these registrations and a check for the full amount of the net commission.
Seminar Finder is responsible for:
1) Delivering all registrations to provider in a timely manner.
2) Maintaining the Seminar Finder Web site with the highest design and functioning standards.
3) Maintaining the secure on-line registration feature of the site and delivering secure on-line registrations to course provider.
4) Entering all descriptive information and dates into the Seminar Finder Web site.
5) Marketing and sales.
While many people will initially register directly through Seminar Finder, they may also register directly with course partners in the future (Seminar Finder would not receive commissions for those registrations - in other words, no "spin-off" commissions are required).
Wether you choose the paid listing or partner program, you will find that your firm or University will generate tremendous exposure and new customers in all our community Web sites: Seminar Finder, ON Business, Speakers Platform & NovaTRAIN.
Advertise in Seminar Finder today so you can reach the thousands of visitors looking for courses on hundreds of topics in cities throughout North America and the world. Q: What are the requirements to join the partner listing program?
A: Your organization must give at least 200 dates per year. And each course provider applying for the partner listing program is evaluated using a variety of criteria - such as reputation, credibility, quality of courses, etc.
A: With the Paid Listings Program, course providers refer to the current Seminar Finder rate card and pay a fee to list each course. Full registration price goes directly to the course provider with no commission due. With the Partner Listings Program, course providers pay nothing up front and only pay a commission on each registration generated by Seminar Finder.
A: This is determined on an individual basis. Considerations include: course prices, number of courses, etc.
A: No. Commissions are only due on registrations directly generated from Seminar Finder. Once a course provider begins marketing directly to that registrant, any registrations go directly to that course provider (yes, we know this is an excellent deal for the course provider :-)
A: The Web is crowded, so users are drawn to websites offering extensive resources and listings. Seminar Finder generates a large amount of traffic because it offers a complete menu of resources to individuals looking for training. Don't let your smaller website get lost in a sea of others; a prominent presence at key Web locations maximizes your on-line marketing efforts. Seminar Finder reaches a large and diverse audience, thus increasing the number of new registrants who would not have considered your courses otherwise. No other marketing tool today presents such a tremendous value.
A: There are a variety of ways people find their way to the Seminar Finder Web site. NovaStone New Media, which manages Seminar Finder, dedicates its expertise in graphics, marketing, advertising and public relations to making Seminar Finder the most popular and accessible seminar sites on the World Wide Web. Seminar Finder is professionally marketed to course participants around the world through public relation campaigns, advertising and on-line marketing.
A: Go to the on-line members administrative page at: seminarfinder.com/members and simply enter your member ID and password. You will see options to administer all your information. This on-line administrative section was created so you can make minor additions and changes to your seminar listings at any time. Initially, Seminar Finder will gather all your descriptive course materials and publish them in Seminar Finder for you.
A: No - please call Seminar Finder customer service at: (805) 892-2386, or e-mail: Support@seminarfinder.com. We will work with you to get all your descriptive information into Seminar Finder the easiest way possible. We can upload large batches of courses & public dates at one time.
A: Please give one of our agents a call at: (805) 892-2386 or e-mail: Support@seminarfinder.com. They will be happy to explain the easy process. The steps are: sending us your descriptive course information in electronic format, agreeing on a commission structure, and co-signing a contract between our organizations. Then, your organization will begin receiving registrations from Seminar Finder immediately!
